About Us
Captured Moments Photography is a residential studio family-owned by Eric and Susan Smith. Lately, there is lots of confusion, with other studios trying to make you think they are Captured Moments, by adding -moments to their website or featuring words like “capturing life’s best moments” to their advertising. Be assured, we are not a franchise. There is only one Captured Moments Photography. Eric is an award-winning photographer. His easy-going style helps relax you to get the best possible images. His expertise is sought after by many photographers to teach studio lighting and work flow. Susan has years of sales and marketing experience and oversees the business end of the studio.
Our studio is located in our home, on 2.5 acres in Port Tobacco, 15 minutes south of Waldorf. We have a separate studio and client room, as well as an outdoor posing park. It is the best of both worlds: a warm friendly family atmosphere and a state-of-the-art digital photography studio. Our camera room has tons of backgrounds and props for studio portraits. Our outdoor posing park includes wagon wheels, arbors, sunflower-covered swings, an old-fashioned porch/barn, and even a beach scene! And when it’s time to choose your portraits, we have comfy Lazyboy recliners and high tech equipment to project your images to you can see every detail!
We’re sure you’ve seen our display on the upper level at St. Charles Town Center Mall. You probably just didn’t know it was us. It is confusing for the mall to put a photography “mill” directly behind our display, and they sure want you to think they are us. But the display is indeed ours, and you can see all our recent clients on our video monitor which plays continuously.
